When sending the PDF file to the printer using the lpr command, printing will be done with the defaults set at the control panel, including the defaults set for • Copies • Paper size • Duplex • Paper feed • Print mode Note When the lpr command is used, you must specify the number of copies using the lpr command. The [Quantity] setting on the control panel will become disabled. If the number of copies is not specified by the lpr command, it will be treated as one copy. Printing via Electronic Mail / E-mail Printing Models with the optional Hard Disk Drive or Compact Flash installed can receive and print e-mails sent directly from your computer via TCP/IP communication, including e-mail contents and TIFF or PDF attachments. This feature is known as E-mail Printing. Environment Settings for E-mail Printing To use the E-mail Printing feature, you need to configure server settings (such as SMTP and POP3 servers) on your network environment.
