Troubleshooting guide Unit displays The display is dark. "NOPLAY" "NODISC" "F61" "DVD U11" "ERROR" "DVD H∑∑" "DVD F stands for a number. \U.S.A.\and\Canada] "[W]" is flashing. (When using optional wireless accessory) "D.MIX" is flashing. [DVD-A] "U701" "U70∑" ∑ stands for a number. The actual number following "U70" will depend on the state of the main unit. Page ≥ Select "Bright" in "FL Dimmer" in the "Others" tab. 24 ≥ You inserted a disc the unit cannot play; insert one it can. 12 ≥ You inserted a blank disc. - ≥ You inserted a disc that has not been finalized. - ≥ You have not inserted a disc; insert one. - ≥ You have not inserted the disc correctly; insert it correctly. 14 ≥ Check and correct the speaker cable connections. If this does not fix the problem, consult the dealer. 4, 5, 8 ≥ Disc may be dirty. Wipe it clean. 12 ≥ Incorrect operation performed. Read the instructions and try again. - ≥ Trouble may have occurred. The numbers following "H" and "F" depend on the status of the unit. - Turn the unit off and then back on. Alternatively, turn the unit off, disconnect the AC power supply cord, and then reconnect it. ≥ If the service numbers fail to clear, note the service number and contact a qualified service person. - ≥ There is no link between the main unit and the wireless accessory. Check that the wireless - accessory is plugged into the AC outlet. ≥ Ensure that the digital transceiver is fully inserted into the slot of the main unit. - ≥ Down-mixing is the process of remixing the multiple-channel audio found on some discs into two - channels. The disc contains single-channel or multiple-channel signals which may not be reproduced authentically. ≥ The connected equipment is not HDMI-compatible. - ≥ The HDMI connection acts unusually. - The connected equipment is not HDMI-compatible. - - The HDMI cable is too long. - - The HDMI cable is damaged. - Television displays "/" "Cannot display group xx, content xx" "This disc may not be played in your region" "Due to copyright protection, audio cannot be output from HDMI" [DVD-A] No on-screen display. Main unit's screen saver remains ≥ The operation is prohibited by the unit or disc. ≥ You are trying to display incompatible contents. ≥ Only DVD-Video discs that include or have the same region number as the one on the rear panel of this unit can be played. ≥ If you connect to equipment that does not support CPPM (➜ page 13, Glossary), audio from a CPPM copy-protected DVD-Audio disc cannot be output from the HDMI AV OUT terminal. ≥ Select "On" in "On-Screen Messages" in the "Display" tab. ≥ When using the HDMI connection, audio/video information is continually transferred between the main unit and the television regardless of which source has been selected on the main unit.
