Protecting your product from theft p This function is available for AVIC-X930BT and AVIC-X9310BT. The front panel can be detached from the navigation system to discourage theft, as described below. 1 Press and hold the Detach button, and slide it down. When you release your finger, the bottom of the front panel separates slightly from the navigation system. 2 Gently grip the bottom of the front panel and slowly pull it outward. CAUTION ! Do not expose the front panel to excessive shock or disassemble it. ! Never grip the buttons tightly or use force when removing or attaching. ! Keep the front panel out of reach of small chil- dren to prevent them from putting it in their mouths. ! After removing the front panel, keep it in a safe place so it is not scratched or damaged. ! Keep the front panel out of direct sunlight and high temperatures. ! When removing or attaching the front panel, do so after turning the ignition switch off (ACC OFF). Removing the front panel p The navigation system cannot be operated while the front panel is removed from the navigation system. Make sure the front panel is securely connected to the mounting hooks of the navigation system. 2 Push the lower part of the front panel until you hear a click. If you fail to successfully attach the front panel to the navigation system, try again but be careful not to force it as the panel could be damaged. 14 En
