Remote Controller and Care Using the Remote Controller This product is equipped with a remote controller for convenient operation. • Point the controller in the direction of the front panel to operate. • When the controller is not in use, attach it firmly to the provided Mounting base. Preset Memory The Preset Memory function stores stations in memory manually. 1. Select the station whose frequency you want to store in memory. 2. Press one of buttons 1-6 for 2 seconds or longer to store the desired stations. (eg. - Pioneer DEH-P835R-W | Operation Manual - Page 16

Using the RDS Functions PI Seek Function The tuner searches for another frequency broadcasting the same programming. "PI SEEK" appears on the display and the radio volume is muted during a PI Seek. TA Function The TA (Traffic Announcement standby) function lets you receive traffic announcements automatically, no matter what source (tuner, built-in CD player or multi-CD player) you are listening to. The TA function can be activated for either a TP station (a station that broadcasts traffic - Pioneer DEH-P835R-W | Operation Manual - Page 20
Using the RDS Functions • Canceling Traffic Announcements • Press the TA/AF button while a traffic announcement is being received to cancel the announcement and return to the original source. Using the Built-in CD Player Basic Operation of Built-in CD Player The built-in CD player plays one standard 12 cm or 8 cm (single) CD at a time. Do not use an adapter when playing 8 cm CD. 1. Using Multi-CD Players CD Sound Quality Adjustment COMP (compression) and DBE (dynamic bass emphasis) functions are available to adjust the sound quality of your multi-CD player. (Instant Track Selection) The ITS function allows you to search for the track you wish to play when one or more multi-CD players are installed. Using a Sub-woofer • Sub-woofer Output This product is equipped with a sub-woofer output which can be switched ON or OFF. Initially sub-woofer output is ON. Using the F.I.E. Function The F.I.E. (Front Image Enhancer) function is a simple method of enhancing front imaging by cutting mid- and high-range frequency output from the rear speakers, limiting their output to low-range frequencies. Detaching and Replacing the Front Panel Theft Protection The front panel of the main body is detachable to discourage theft. ■ Detaching the front panel 1. Open the front panel. MNEM 8 2. Setting the Selectable Output (Pulse/Constant) This mode enables you to select a "Constant" output or "Pulsed" output. When connecting a Siren the "Constant" output should be selected. Using the Digital Signal Processor (DSP) Parametric Bass/Treble When 4 speakers are used in the car audio system, adjusting sound quality for the 4 speakers all at once is not always an effective way.
