If the TV and playback components support the Pioneer KURO LINK feature, the convenient KURO LINK functions can be used (see KURO LINK on page 84). See Switching the HDMI output on page 94. • The HDMI indicator lights on the front panel when an HDMI-equipped component is connected. • For input components, connections other than HDMI connections are also possible (see Connecting your DVD player with no HDMI output on page 30). • If your Blu-ray disc player offers multi-channel analog audio outputs, see Connecting the multichannel analog inputs on page 34. • The sound of the TV cannot be heard over the receiver if the TV is connected using an HDMI cable. If you want to listen to the sound of the TV over the receiver, connect the receiver and TV with audio cables. 29 en

Connecting using HDMI
If you have an HDMI or DVI (with HDCP) equipped component (Blu-ray disc player, etc.), you can connect it to this
receiver using a commercially available HDMI cable.
If the TV and playback components support the Pioneer KURO LINK feature, the convenient KURO LINK functions can
be used (see
KURO LINK
on page 84).
When connecting a Blu-ray disc player, connect the
player to the receiver’s
BD IN
terminal.
When connecting to an HDMI/DVI-compatible
monitor or a flat panel TV using the
HDMI OUT 2
terminal, switch the HDMI output setting to
