ENGLISH Customizing the SETUP Settings Chapter 3 Using the LCD TV Press the button to turn the LCD TV on. Press the MENU button on the remote control to display the Main menu, and use the ◄► buttons to select the SETUP. Use the ▲▼buttons to highlight an individual SETUP option, use the ◄► buttons to change the setting, and press the MENU to exit the menu. Language Timer Closed Caption V-Chip Parental Default English 15 off Video Select Exit The SETUP menu includes the following options: Language Timer Selects to display all on-screen menus in your language of choice: English/Trandition Chinese/Simplified Chinese/French/Spanish. Allows to set up clock and to program the TV to turn on and off and tune to a specific channel. NOTE: The timer can only be set using Military time. Military time uses a 24-hour scale instead of a 12-hour scale. For example, if you need to set your timer for 3:00 a.m. you would use 03:00:00, but if you would like to set it for 3:00 p.m., you should use 15:00:00. HINT: For times that fall in the p.m. hours, add 12 to your desired time. If the power goes off or the unit's power cord is removed, ▪ Time: you will need to reset your timer. Selects to set the current time by hour, minute, second. ▪ Start Time: Selects to set the time that you want the TV to turn on. ▪ Stop Time: Selects to set the time that you want the TV to turn off. ▪ Channel: Selects to set the specific channel that you want the TV to tune. ▪ Activate: Selects to turn on/off/once the timer (each day). ▪ Confirm: Selects to confirm and set settings. 37
