8.4 TEMPERATURE CONTROL Hot Roller Temp. (°C) Pressure Roller Temp. (°C) Operating Temperature Lower Limit Lower Limit The main board monitors the temperature of the hot roller through TH1 and the temperature of the pressure roller through TH2. The CPU determines whether or not to turn on the fusing lamp based on the combination of the input from these two thermistors. If the pressure roller is cool, the CPU keeps the hot roller temperature high. However, if the pressure roller is hot, the CPU decreases the operating temperature of the hot roller. The above graph shows the relationship between the temperatures of the hot and pressure rollers. A163 2-31 SM
