Caution!: Keep the phone away from you ear while in Speakerphone Mode. (For more information, refer to "Responsible Listening" on page 141.) • To disable Speakerphone Mode: ᮣ Press and hold until "Speakerphone Off" appears in the display. Note: Your phone automatically enters Speakerphone Mode when you dial a call using the QWERTY keypad and the called phone begins ringing. Enter/Exit Silent Mode Silence the tones your keypad makes when you press a key. • To enter Silent Mode: ᮣ In standby mode, press and hold . "Entering Silent Mode" briefly appears in the display and your phone returns to standby mode. • To exit Silent Mode: ᮣ While in Silent mode and standby mode, press and hold . "Exit Silent Mode" briefly appears in the display and your phone returns to standby mode. Vibrate Mode ᮣ In standby mode, repeatedly press the Volume key ( ) down until Vibrate appears in the display. The Volume key is on the upper left side of phone. Adjust the Ringer 1. Use the Volume key on the left side of your phone to adjust the ringer volume setting. Note: The Vibrate icon ( ) appears in the display when the phone is in Vibrate mode.
