Phone Settings You can use Phone Settings to disable your phone's radio functions, set the language used in screens and menus, invoke your phone's security options, and select whether your phone operates outside your home area (roaming). ᮣ From the Settings menu, tap Phone Settings. The following sections describe the phone sub-menus in detail. Airplane Mode When set to On, Airplane Mode disables all radio functions of your phone, as required in sensitive environments (such as on board an aircraft). This prevents you from receiving or making calls (except emergency calls), but you can still use other features (such as the Camera and the Tools). 1. From the Settings menu, tap Phone Settings ➔ Airplane Mode.The following options appear in the display: • On: Disables the radio transmitter and receiver in your phone. • Off: Enables the radio transmitter and receiver in your phone. 2. tap the desired option.
