Section 3: Call Functions This section describes how to make, answer or end calls. Making Calls Making Calls Using the Phone Dialer 1. From a Home screen panel, touch Phone. 2. Touch the digits of the telephone on the Phone screen. While dialing, use these options: • Press Menu, then touch Add to contacts to add to the contacts list. • Press Menu, then touch Add 2-sec pause to insert a 2- second pause in the telephone number. • Press Menu, then touch Add wait to insert a Wait pause in the telephone number, to pause dialing to wait for input from you. 3. Touch Call. Dialing Emergency Numbers When you call an Emergency Number, such as 911, do not disconnect the call or make other calls until advised to do so by the emergency operator. This enables emergency operators to more easily dispatch aid, such as police, fire fighting, and emergency medical personnel. 1. From a Home screen panel, touch screen appears in the display. 2. Enter 911. 3. To place the call, touch . Phone.The Keypad Important!: Emergency number 911 is preset into your phone. If you call 911 an audible tone is heard and an Emergency number prompt appears in the display for the duration of the call. Important!: Because of various transmission methods, network parameters, and user settings necessary to complete a call from your wireless phone, a connection cannot always be guaranteed. Therefore, emergency calling may not be available on all wireless networks at all times. Important!: DO NOT depend on this phone as a primary method of calling 911 or for any other essential or emergency communications.
