Other Operations Using the Sound Effect Reinforcing bass frequencies You can reinforce bass frequencies. Press DYNAMIC BASS. "D. BASS ON" appears in the front panel display and bass frequencies are effectively reinforced. To turn off the sound effect Press DYNAMIC BASS again. - "DEC. MODE" is set to "A.F.D. STD," "A.F.D. MULTI," or "2CH STEREO". - Headphones are not connected. When all the conditions above are satisfied, you can activate/deactivate the effect by pressing DMPORT BOOSTER on the unit. The DMPORT BOOSTER indicator turns on. To turn off the sound effect Press DMPORT BOOSTER on the unit so that the DMPORT BOOSTER indicator turns off. Enjoying the sound at low volume You can enjoy sound effects or dialogue, as you would in a movie theater, even at low volume. It is useful for watching movies at night. Press NIGHT. "NIGHT ON" appears in the front panel display and the sound effect is activated. Note • This effect does not work for a Super Audio CD. When you load a Super Audio CD during "NIGHT ON," the sound effect turns off automatically. • When sound is output from the center speaker, this effect is more pronounced, as speech (movie dialog, etc.) is easy to hear. When sound is not output from the center speaker, or you are using the headphones, the system optimally adjusts the volume. To turn off the sound effect Press NIGHT again. Enhancing compressed sound You can enhance compressed sound such as an MP3 audio file. Using the Sound Effect
You can reinforce bass frequencies.
Press DYNAMIC BASS.
“D. BASS ON” appears in the front panel
display and bass frequencies are effectively
reinforced.
To turn off the sound effect
Press DYNAMIC BASS again.
You can enjoy sound effects or dialogue, as you
would in a movie theater, even at low volume. It
is useful for watching movies at night.
Press NIGHT.
“NIGHT ON” appears in the front panel display
and the sound effect is activated.
Note
• This effect does not work for a Super Audio CD.
When you load a Super Audio CD during “NIGHT
ON,” the sound effect turns off automatically.
• When sound is output from the center speaker, this

the center speaker, or you are using the headphones,
