Table of Contents Advanced operations Useful functions for recording movies and photos The available menu items differ between the movie mode ( ) and photo mode ( ). Recording better images automatically (Intelligent Auto) When you turn this product toward the subject, this product sets the optimum combination of the 3 detection modes: Face detection, Scene detection and Camerashake detection ([Off] is the default setting). When this product detects the subject, the icons that correspond to the detected condition are displayed. Select at the right bottom on the recording screen of movies or photos. Select [On] . Face detection (Portrait), (Baby) This product detects faces, and adjusts the focus, color, and exposure. Scene detection (Backlight), (Landscape), (Night scene), (Spotlight), (Low light), (Macro) This product selects the most effective setting automatically, depending on the scene. Camera-shake detection (Walk), (Tripod) This product detects whether camera-shake occurs or not, and makes the optimum compensation. Notes This product may not detect the expected scene or subject, depending on the recording conditions. Selecting the recording mode You can switch the recording mode to select the movie quality ([Standard ] is the default setting). The recording time of the memory card is changed depending on the recording mode. You cannot change the recording mode while recording 3D movies. Select (MENU) [Image Quality/Size] [ REC Mode].
