How to store the battery pack • If the battery pack is not to be used for a long time, do the following procedure once per year to maintain proper function. 1 Fully charge the battery. 2 Discharge on your camera. 3 Remove the battery from your camera and store it in a dry, cool place. • To use the battery pack up on your camera, leave the camera to on in slide show playback mode (page 85) until the power goes off. Battery life • The battery life is limited. Battery capacity decreases little by little as you use it more and more, and as time passes. When the battery operating time is shortened considerably, a probable cause is that the battery pack has reached the end of its life. Buy a new battery pack. • The battery life varies according to how it is stored and the operating conditions and environment for each battery pack.
