• When [Mode] (REC Mode) is not set to [Normal], you cannot use the Multi Burst mode. • The following functions cannot be used in Multi Burst mode: - Smart zoom - Shooting with the flash - Inserting the date and time - NightFraming • When the mode dial is set to , frame interval is automatically set to [1/30]. • You cannot set the shutter speed to lower than the frame interval time. • For the number of images that can be recorded, see pages 135, 136. • When you play back images recorded in Multi Burst mode on the camera, see page 87. Shooting in the dark Mode dial: /P/ Shutter button Command dial Mode dial Infrared ray emitter NIGHTSHOT/ NIGHTFRAMING • The infrared ray light covers within approx. 0.5 m to 2.1 m (19 3/4 inches to 6 feet 10 3/4 inches) (W)/0.6 m to 2.1 m (23 5/8 inches to 6 feet 10 3/4 inches) (T). • Since the infrared emitter is located below the flash emitter, you have to pop up the flash to shoot in these modes. NightShot The NightShot function lets you shoot subjects in dark places without the flash such as camp scenes at night or nocturnal plants and animals. Note that images recorded using the NightShot function become greenish. a Set the mode dial to , P or . b Press and hold NIGHTSHOT/ NIGHTFRAMING and select (Night shot) with the command dial.
