8: Adjusting the speaker levels and balance (TEST TONE) You can adjust the speaker levels and balance while listening to the test tone from your listening position. "1-LEVEL" appears on the display. 2 Press the control button or control button b to enter the menu. 3 Press control button V/v repeatedly to select "T. TONE". 4 Press the control button or control button b to enter the parameter. 5 Press control button V/v repeatedly to select "T. TONE Y". The test tone is output from each speaker in sequence as follows: Front left t Center t Front right t Surround right t Surround back right* t Surround back left* t Surround left t Sub woofer * You will only hear test tone from the - surround back left and right speakers when the surround back speakers are set to "DUAL" (page 43). - surround back speaker when the surround back speakers are set to "SINGLE" (page 43). 6 Adjust the speaker levels and balance using the LEVEL menu so that the level of the test tone sounds the same from each speaker. For details, see "Adjusting the level (LEVEL menu)" (page 44). Tips • To adjust the level of all speakers at the same time, press MASTER VOL +/-. You can also use MASTER VOLUME on the receiver. • The adjusted value are shown on the display during adjustment. 7 Repeat steps 1 to 5 to select "T. TONE N". The test tone turns off. Note The test tone does not work when MULTI CH IN or ANALOG DIRECT is selected. 36US
