This is a headphone output jack. CAUTION Use the PHONES/LINE OUT knob to minimize the volume before connecting headphones. Failure to do so could cause a sudden burst of loud noise, which might result in hearing as a balanced input jack. Am I making a mistake in the installation procedures? A: Close the Windows "Hardware Wizard" and disconnect the unit. You must install the driver before connecting this unit.
