Battery Information When to Replace the Batteries The TI-84 Plus uses five batteries: four AAA alkaline batteries and one SR44SW or 303 silver oxide backup battery. The silver oxide battery provides auxiliary power to retain memory while you replace the AAA batteries. When the battery voltage level drops below a usable level, the TI-84 Plus: Displays this message when Displays this message when you attempt you turn on the unit. to download an application.
