If you attempt to access the drive when it is not attached to the computer, you will receive an error message. To attach the optional external USB diskette drive cable to a USB port on either the computer or the optional Slim Port Replicator, gently push the connector into the USB port. Attaching the optional diskette drive cable to one of the computer's USB ports. The computer automatically recognizes the optional external USB diskette drive and calls it A:.
