KEY AIR/MRN PURPOSE Press this key to scan the Air and Marine bands. Pressing this key cycles through the frequencies in the following order: • Air/MRN - both activated • Air only (turn off Marine bank) • Marine only (turn off Air bank) • None active (turn off both Air and Marine banks) NOTE: The AIR and MRN banks share 100 PRIVATE channels. These user-programmed channels are scanned after the preprogrammed channels if either service is selected. To save a marine frequency into a private channel, first hold on the frequency in the Marine Search, then follow the steps starting on page 52 to save the frequency. The frequency will save in NFM mode. 24
