Moving the Printer Follow these guidelines to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the system: ■ Use the Shut Down mode on the control panel for best results. ■ Always allow the system to cool before it is moved to avoid ink spills which can damage the printer Warning: Parts of the system may be hot. To avoid personal injury or damage to the system, allow 30 minutes for it to cool down before moving or packing the system. This allows the ink to solidify. ■ Always turn off the system using the power switch, located on the side of the system. Unplug all cables and cords. Never turn off the system by pulling the power cord or using a power-strip with an on/off switch. ■ Never move the system if you receive a Power Down Error-Head not Parked message on the control panel. The system is not ready to be moved. If the printhead is not locked, the system can be damaged during shipment. ■ Always lock the scanhead transportation lock on the left side of the system before removing the scanner portion of the system.
