Step6 MIDI G Controlling the PSR-225 with a MIDI keyboard controller (not having a tone generator) (Auto accompaniment can also be used in this setup.) PSR-225 MIDI receive MIDI IN MIDI OUT MIDI keyboard with no tone generator ➔ See page 97. G In this setup you can record your PSR-225 performance, including the auto accompani- ment, to a connected computer or sequencer. (Up to 16 channels can be used.) You can then edit the recorded data on the computer or sequencer, and play it back using the sounds of the PSR-225. Arrange and edit the data on the computer/sequencer. When using a personal computer, special software (sequencer software) is needed. GM System Level 1 "GM System Level 1" is an addition to the MIDI standard which ensures that any GMcompatible music data can be accurately played by any GM-compatible tone generator, regardless of manufacturer. The GM mark is affixed to all software and hardware products that support GM System Level 1. The PSR-225 supports GM System Level 1. 21
