Overall Functions s Remote Channel ...Sets the MIDI channel on which data from a remote keyboard will be received. Any of the standard MIDI channels - 1 through 16 - can be specified. The remote keyboard must be set up to transmit on the specified remote channel, and the keyboard's MIDI OUT connector must be connected to the PSR-620 MIDI IN connector via a standard MIDI cable. Refer to the "MIDI Implementation Chart" section (page 100) for technical details. When set to OFF data is received on all 16 MIDI channels. The default setting - OFF - can be recalled by pressing the [-/NO] and [+/YES] buttons simultaneously. • Remote Channel is automatically turned OFF when a MIDI "GM ON" message is received. • The Remote channel setting is retained in memory even when the power switch is turned OFF, as long as batteries are installed or an AC adaptor is connected. oFF RemoteCh s Keyboard Out ...Determines whether keyboard data will or will not be transmitted via the MIDI OUT connector. Keyboard data is transmitted when this function is turned ON (default). Remote Channel
