A fully integrated ATSC tuner with the ability to

receive off-air high definition broadcasts without the

need for an external set-top box. A digital cable tuner

(QAM) allows for the reception of digital cable signals

that are not scrambled

Improved Digital Display

Most HDTVs use upconversion of analog signals (line-

doubling) to simulate an HD picture, which introduces

artifacts that appear as pixilated scenes due to digital

conversion. Using advanced digital display, these

picture artifacts are nearly eliminated

3:2 Pulldown Cinema Correction

Most movies are shot on film, and film operates at a

frame rate of 24fps (frames per second), compared to

video which operates at 30fps. 3:2 pulldown properly

detects and syncs film to video for smooth theater-like

pictures at home
