P-660HW-T v2 User's Guide Figure 19 Internet Access Wizard Setup: ISP Parameters The following table describes the fields in this screen. Table 8 Internet Access Wizard Setup: ISP Parameters LABEL Mode Encapsulation Multiplexing Virtual Circuit ID VPI VCI Back Next Exit DESCRIPTION From the Mode drop-down list box, select Routing (default) if your ISP allows multiple computers to share an Internet account. Otherwise select Bridge. Select the encapsulation type your ISP uses from the Encapsulation drop-down list box. Choices vary depending on what you select in the Mode field. If you select Bridge in the Mode field, select either PPPoA or RFC 1483. If you select Routing in the Mode field, select PPPoA, RFC 1483, ENET ENCAP or PPPoE. Select the multiplexing method used by your ISP from the Multiplex drop-down list box either VC-based or LLC-based. VPI (Virtual Path Identifier) and VCI (Virtual Channel Identifier) define a virtual circuit. Refer to the appendix for more information. Enter the VPI assigned to you. This field may already be configured. Enter the VCI assigned to you. This field may already be configured. Click Back to go back to the previous screen. Click Next to continue to the next wizard screen. The next wizard screen you see depends on what protocol you chose above.
