Balance: The control behind the upper knob allows you to balance the sound between the right and left speakers. Balance isgraphically displayed. Lower Knob: The lower knob does the following: Turn the lower knob to tune radio stations. If you hold the TUNE knob in the tune position, it will begin to tune rapidly. Push the lower knob to get AM, FM1 or FM2. Note the graphic display. The control behind the lower knob fades the sound between the front and rear speakers. The balance between speakers is graphically displayed. Presets: The five(1-5) pushbuttons can be used to preset up to 15 radio stations (five AM, five FM1 and five FM2 stations). 1. Tune in the desired station. 2. PushSET. 3. Within five seconds, push one of the five pushbuttons. Whenever you push that button, the preset station will return. 4. Repeat these steps for each pushbutton. Setting theTone A BASS v: Press BASS to increase or decrease bass tones. For the BASS preset setting, press the centerof the control. Finding a Station 4 SEEK b: Press SEEK tosearch for thenext lower or higher station and stop. SCAN: When SCAN is pressed, the radio will go to the next station, pause and keep scanning until you press SCAN again. RCL: Press RCL to change the display between the clock and the radio station frequency when the radio is on. To display the time with the ignition off, press RCL. A TREB v: Press TREB to increase or decrease treble tones. Press the center of the TREB control for the preset level. Setting theClock 1. Push SET with the ignition on and the radio off. 2. Within five seconds, push and hold SCAN until the correct hour appears. 3. Press and hold SEEK 4 or b until the correct minute appears. 3-9
