Securing a Child Restraint in the Right Front Seat Your vehicle has right-front passenger's air bag.NEVER put a a rear-facing child restraint in this seat. Here's why: - __ - A CAUTION , A rear-facing,childrestraint in the front seat could pushed be into the seatbackby the right-front passenger's bag if it air inflates. A ch$ld in a rear-facing restraint can be seriously child injured ifthis,happens. Always secure a rear-facing child rear restraint in the seat. I You'll be using the lap-shoulder belt. See theearlier section about the top strap if the child restraint has one. 1. Because your vehicle hasa right-front passenger's air bag, always move the seat as far back as itwill go before securing a front-facing child restraint. 2. Put the restraint on the seat. Follow the instructions for the child restraint. 3. Secure the child in the child restraint as the instructions say.
