Il sistema immobilizer Per aumentare la protezione contro il furto, il motociclo è dotato di un sistema elettronico di blocco del motore (IMMOBILIZER) che si attiva automaticamente ogni volta che si spegne il quadro. Leva commando frizione (fig. 8) La leva (1) comanda il disinnesto della frizione. Quando viene tirata verso la manopola si interrompe la trasmissione del moto dal motore al cambio e quindi alla ruota motrice. Tappo serbatoio carburante (fig. 14) I Apertura Sollevare il coperchietto (1) di protezione ed inserire la chiave nella serratura. Ruotare di 1/4 di giro la chiave in senso orario per sbloccare la serratura. Sollevare il tappo. Serratura sella e portacasco Apertura (fig. 15.1) Inserire la chiave nella serratura (4) e ruotarla in senso orario per circa 1/4 di giro fino ad ottenere il sollevamento della parte posteriore della sella. I Lucchetto antifurto (fig. 15.3) Sotto la sella é alloggiato il lucchetto antifurto (1) rimuovere l'elastico (2) per estrarlo. Si consiglia di utilizzarlo, come supporto al bloccasterzo, quando si parcheggia il motociclo in un luogo poco sicuro. I Cavalletto centrale Per parcheggiare stabilmente il motociclo utilizzate sempre il cavalletto centrale (1, fig. 18.1). La sua struttura permette di sostenere il motociclo anche nella condizione di pieno carico. Specchi retrovisori (fig. 19) Gli specchi retrovisori del motociclo sono composti da due parti unite da una speciale molla interna che permette una rotazione controllata dello specchio, rispetto al cupolino, in caso di urto. I Registri di regolazione forcella anteriore La forcella del motociclo è regolabile sia nella fase di estensione (ritorno) sia nella compressione degli steli. Le posizioni STANDARD sono le seguenti: compressione: 12 scatti; estensione: 11 scatti. Avviamento motore Note Per avviare il motore già caldo seguite la procedura descritta per "Temperatura ambiente alta". Sollevamento serbatoio carburante Svitare le due viti (1, fig. 32.1) che fissano il coperchio al supporto del serbatoio e rimuoverlo sfilandolo dall'interruttore di accensione. I Sostituzione e pulizia dei filtri aria Il filtro aria deve essere sostituito agli intervalli prescritti sulla tabella di manutenzione periodica, vedi Libretto di Garanzia. Controllo livello liquido di raffreddamento Controllare il livello del liquido di raffreddamento contenuto nel serbatoio d'espansione, sul lato destro del motociclo; deve risultare compreso tra i riferimenti di MAX e di MIN del serbatoio (fig.34.1). I Controllo livello fluido frizione e freni Il livello non deve scendere al di sotto della tacca di MIN evidenziata sui rispettivi serbatoi (fig. 35). Un livello insufficiente facilita l'ingresso di aria nel circuito rendendo il sistema inefficiente. Verifica usura pastiglie freno Freno anteriore (fig. 36) Per facilitare il controllo delle pastiglie dei freni, senza doverle rimuovere dalla pinza, ogni pastiglia riporta un indicatore di consumo. Sulla pastiglia in buone condizioni debbono essere ben visibili le scanalature praticate sul materiale - 2002 Ducati SportTouring ST4s | Owners Manual - Page 50
I Attenzione Richiudere con molta attenzione il comando inserendo il cavo nella carrucola e facendolo passare nella slitta del coperchio (3). Rimontare il coperchio e serrare le viti (2). Carica della batteria (fig. 39) Per ricaricare la batteria è consigliabile rimuoverla dal motociclo. Rimuovere la semicarena destra (pag. 41), svitare la vite (1) e rimuovere la staffa di fissaggio superiore. I Tensionamento della catena trasmissione Far girare lentamente la ruota posteriore per trovare la posizione in cui la catena risulta più tesa. Con il motociclo sul cavalletto centrale, spingere la catena con un dito verso l'alto in corrispondenza della mezzeria del forcellone. Lubrificazione della catena trasmissione Questo tipo di catena è provvista di anelli o-ring per proteggere gli elementi di scorrimento dagli agenti esterni e mantenere più a lungo la lubrificazione. I Smontaggio lampadine Lampada anabbagliante lato destro: staccare dal corpo proiettore la cuffia in gomma; sfilare il morsetto (1, fig. 41.2) dalla lampada premendo il bottone di sgancio rapido inferiore. Rimontaggio lampadine Inserire i perni guida della base lampadina, nelle sedi corrispondenti per ottenere l'esatto orientamento (fig. 41.4). Agganciare l'estremità della molletta (3) ai supporti del corpo proiettore; collegare i cavi precedentemente staccati e rimontare la cuffia in gomma. I Cruscotto (fig. 42) Per la sostituzione delle lampadine spia e illuminazione del quadro strumenti è necessario rimuovere il cupolino. Estrarre il portalampada, dalla parte posteriore dello strumento, e procedere alla sostituzione della lampadina sfilandola dal relativo portalampada. Posteriori: svitare la vite (2, fig. 43.2) e separare la coppetta (3) dal supporto indicatore. La lampadina ha un innesto a baionetta, per estrarla occorre premere e ruotarla in senso antiorario. I Luce arresto Per la sostituzione della lampadina luce arresto e posizione, si devono svitare le due viti (1, fig. 44.1) che fissano il trasparente e rimuoverlo. La rettifica dell'orientamento orizzontale del proiettore si può effettuare agendo sulla vite di regolazione (2, fig. 45.3), sul lato destro del proiettore. Rimuovere la copertura laterale destra (vedi pag. 42) del cruscotto per accedere alla vite. I Pulizia generale Per mantenere nel tempo la brillantezza originale delle superfici metalliche e di quelle verniciate, il motociclo deve essere lavato e pulito periodicamente a seconda del servizio e dello stato delle strade che si percorrono.
