Air bags inflate with great force, faster thanthe blink of an eye. If you're too close to inflating an air bag, it could seriouslyinjure you. This is true even with reduced-forcefrontal airbags. Safety belts help keep in position before and during you a crash. Always wear your safety belt, even with reduced-force air bags. The driver should sit as far back as possible while still maintaining control of the vehicle. lap-shoulder belts offerthe best protection for adults, but not for young children and infants. Neither the vehicle's safety belt system its nor air bag system is designed them. Young for children and infants need the protection that a child restraint system can provide.
