POWER TILT/
TELESCOPE
STEERING WHEEL
COLUMN
(if equipped):
Your power steering wheel
column has a four-way
rocker control which
allows you to telescope
the wheel towards or
away from you as well
as tilt it up or down.
LOW TIRE PRESSURE
WARNING
:
Illuminates when your
tire pressure is low. If
the light remains on, the
tire pressure should be
checked. If the light does
not turn on at ignition or
begins to flash, contact
your authorized dealer as
soon as possible.
MULTIFUNCTION
DISPLAY:
Displays
information such
as the fuel gauge,
tachometer, engine
coolant temperature, the
odometer and trip meter
as well as the Information
menu, Settings menu
and the System checks.
Use the OK and arrow
buttons on the left side
of your steering wheel
to scroll through various
menu options and
make selections.
INSTRUMENT
PANEL
AIRBAG READINESS
:
Illuminates briefly
when the ignition is turned
on. If this light fails to
illuminate, remains on or
continues to flash after
the engine is started,
contact your authorized
dealer for service as soon
as possible. A chime
will also sound if there
is a malfunction in the
indicator light.
SERVICE ENGINE
SOON
:
Illuminates
briefly when the ignition
is turned on. If it remains
on or is blinking after the
engine is started, the
on-board diagnostics
system (OBD-II) has
detected a malfunction.
Drive in a moderate
fashion and contact your
authorized dealer as soon
as possible.
INFOTAINMENT
DISPLAY:
Use the OK
and arrow buttons on
the right side of your
steering wheel to scroll
through available modes
of Entertainment, Phone,
Navigation (if equipped)
and Climate. You can also
perform other functions
such as answering a call,
setting the driver side
temperature and more.

SPEED CONTROLS
(if equipped):
To set the speed:
1.
Press ON.
2.
Accelerate to the
desired speed.
3.
Push the SET button up
and take your foot off
the accelerator.
• To set a higher
speed, press and
hold the SET button
up or press SET up
repeatedly until
the desired speed
is reached.
• To set a lower speed,
press and hold the
SET button down
or press SET down
repeatedly until
the desired speed
is reached.
• To return to a
previously set speed,
press RES.
• To turn off, push the
OFF button down or
turn the ignition off.
PUSH BUTTON
START:
Allows you to
start your vehicle without
a key by pressing the
ENGINE START/STOP
button while pressing the
brake pedal, provided your
intelligent access key (IA)
is inside the vehicle. If
necessary, you can also
start your car by inserting
the IA key into the back-up
slot located in the front
of the center console.
Simply insert the IA key
into the slot with the
buttons facing up and the
key ring out. Then, press
the ENGINE START/STOP
button and brake pedal to
start your vehicle as usual.
You can remove the IA key
from the backup slot once
the vehicle is started,
if desired.
HAZARD CONTROL

SPEED
:
To adjust,
lightly slide your
finger over the rear
slider area.
ADAPTIVE
CRUISE CONTROL
(if equipped):
Allows
you to set a ‘gap distance’
between yourself and
the vehicle in front of you
in the same lane when
your cruise control is
active. Press GAP up or
down to select from four
available gap distances.
The selected gap distance
will appear in the message
center as a graphic display.
Once you select the
desired gap distance, the
vehicle speed will adjust
automatically to maintain
a preset gap distance.
Note:
Driving aids do
not replace the need to
watch where the vehicle is
moving and brake where
necessary. Refer to your
Owner’s Guide for safety
information, more detail
and limitations.
COLLISION
WARNING SYSTEM
(if equipped):
Uses a
radar sensor to detect
if vehicles ahead of you
which are moving in
the same direction may
be a collision risk. The
system will alert you
with an audible chime
and red warning light
which will appear above
the dash. If the risk of
collision increases, the
system will increase
brake support to help
reduce collision speed.
The collision warning
system is active at speeds
above approximately 5
mph (8 km/h). For more
information on activating
and deactivating the
system, refer to
Message
center
in the
Instrument
Cluster
chapter. For
more information on the
collision warning system
and limitations, refer to
Collision warning system
in the
Driving
chapter of
your Owner’s Guide.
Use extreme caution
when using any device
or feature that may take
your attention off the road.
Ford recommends against
the use of any hand-held
devices while driving and
that you comply with all
applicable laws. Your primary
responsibility is the safe
operation of the vehicle.
COMFORT
SELECTSHIFT AUTOMATIC™
TRANSMISSION:
Your
SelectShift Automatic
TM
transmission gives
you the ability to manually change gears.
To use, move the gearshift lever from D
(Drive) to M (Manual). Then, simply press
the + or – buttons on the gearshift toggle.
Press + to upshift and – to downshift.
RAIN-SENSING WIPERS
(if equipped):
These wipers
automatically activate when moisture is
present on the windshield and the control
is set to any setting except off. The wiper
speed will vary based on the amount of
moisture detected on the windshield as
well as the current interval setting. Ensure
that the control is turned to off prior to
entering a car wash.
HEATED AND COOLED
FRONT SEATS:
To access, press the
lower right corner (blue area) on the touch
screen. For heated front seats, press
repeatedly to cycle through the various
settings and off. For cooled front seats,
press
repeatedly to cycle through the
various settings and off.
HEATED STEERING WHEEL
(if equipped):
Your vehicle may be
equipped with a heated steering wheel. To
access, press the lower right corner of the
touchscreen (blue area). If available the
icon
will appear in the touchscreen. Press
to activate.
Note:
The wood trim will not
heat between the 10 and 2 o’clock positions.
PANORAMIC VISTA ROOF™ AND
POWER SUNSHADES (if equipped):
Your panoramic Vista Roof™ and power
sunshades are equipped with an automatic
one-touch, express opening feature. To
stop motion at any time, simply press the
control again.
• To open, press the
button. The
front and rear sunshades will open,
then the roof will open to the first
position. Press again to fully open.
• To close, pull the
button towards
you. The glass panel will stop at the
first position. Pull again and hold
to fully close the glass panel and
the sunshades.
• To vent from a closed position, press
the TILT button.
• To close from a venting position, pull
the TILT button towards you.
REMOTE START:
Remote start allows
you to start the engine from outside the
vehicle. To use, press
and then press
twice within three seconds. When
you are ready to leave, simply push the
ENGINE START/STOP button while
applying the brake. To turn the engine
off using remote start, press
once.
The parking lamps will turn off. Refer to
Remote start in your Locks and Security
chapter for more information.
FUNCTION
REARVIEW CAMERA (if equipped):
This system provides a visual display of
the area behind the vehicle. The display
automatically appears in the touchscreen
when the vehicle is in R (Reverse) and
uses colors (green, yellow and red) to alert
you of your proximity to objects.

Visibility aids do not replace the need
to watch where the vehicle is moving.
Refer to your Owner’s Guide for safety
information, more detail and limitations.
BLIND SPOT INFORMATION
SYSTEM (BLIS
®
) WITH CROSS
TRAFFIC ALERT (CTA),
(if equipped):
BLIS
®
uses radar sensors
to help you determine if a vehicle may
be in your blind spot zone when driving
on roads and freeways. The CTA feature
alerts you if a car is coming towards you
when you are backing out of a parking
space. BLIS
®
and CTA will display a yellow
indicator light
in your exterior mirrors
and the CTA will also sound tones and
display messages to warn you which
direction vehicles are approaching. Refer to
the Driving chapter in your Owner’s Guide
for more information.
REVERSE SENSING SYSTEM:
This system sounds a warning tone if
there is an obstacle near the vehicle’s
rear bumper when the vehicle is in R
(Reverse) and is traveling less than 3 mph
(5 km/h). The warning tone will increase
in frequency as the object gets closer and
then will sound continuously when the
object is less than 10 inches away.
Note:
Visibility aids do not replace the need
to watch where the vehicle is moving.

MYKEY
®
:
Allows you to program certain
driving restrictions on any standard key
in order to promote good driving habits.
When MyKey
®
is programmed:
• Belt-Minder
®
cannot be disabled
and a chime will sound continuously
and the audio will be muted until the
safety belt is buckled.
• Audible and visual low fuel warnings
can be set.
• Certain features cannot be turned off
such as blind spot information system
(BLIS
®
) with cross traffic Alert (CTA).
• Audio volume can be limited.
• Vehicle speed can be limited.
• Audible and visual speed
warnings can be configured
at preselected speeds.
• AdvanceTrac
®
cannot be
programmed off.

BLIND SPOT MIRRORS
(if equipped):
Blind spot mirrors have
an integrated convex spotter mirror built
into the upper corner on the outside
mirrors. They are designed to help you
see a vehicle that may be in your blind
spot. As a vehicle approaches, its image
will transition from the large mirror to the
smaller convex spotter mirror. For more
information, refer to your Owner’s Guide.
