5. Insert the charge connector into the connector on the vehicle. Make sure the charge connector is securely locked. In this case, the Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) should comply with SAE 1772. If the selector switch from ECONOMY mode to IMMEDIATE is provided, use the IMMEDIATE mode and apply a charge. Read the EVSE manual well. CAUTION 3. Open the charge door on the right front fender. 4. Push the lock release tab to open the cap. D Make sure the charge cable is dry. To avoid getting an electric shock, do not handle with your hand wet. D Never touch the terminals of the connectors on the vehicle and charge connector with your hand, or you may get an electric shock. D Do not modify the charge connector. D The charge connector should be firmly installed without any tension on the cable. 23
