4RUNNER ( ) Glove box Garage door opener box To use the glove box, do this. To open: Pull the lever. To lock: Insert the master key and turn it clockwise. On some models, the glove box light will come on when the glove box is open with the instrument panel lights on. The box is designed to store a garage door opener transmitter. Open the cover and remove the Velcro loop. Remove the paper strip covering the adhesive on back side of loop and adhere loop to back side of the transmitter near center. CAUTION To reduce the chance of injury in case of an accident or a sudden stop, always keep the glove box door closed while driving. 164
