4RUNNER ( ) Tie- down hooks The cup holders are designed for holding cups or drink- cans securely in its holes. To use the rear cup holder, pull it out. Luggage cover CAUTION D Do not place anything else other than cups or drink- cans on the cup holder, as such item may be thrown about in the compartment and possibly injure people in the vehicle during sudden braking or an accident. D To reduce the chance of injury in case of an accident or a sudden stop while driving, keep the cup holder closed when it is not in use. To secure your luggage, use the tiedown hooks as shown above. See "Luggage stowage precautions" in Part 2 for what to observe in loading luggage. To use the luggage cover, pull it out of the retractor and hook it to the anchors. 169
