02 SIENNA_U (L/O 0107) The resistance must be as strong as the force of the moving door, or stronger. As the sliding door approaches the fully − closed or fully −opened position, its moving force increases significantly. If the sliding door receives a strong impact, this function may work even if nothing is caught. D You must always make sure the heads, hands and other parts of the bodies of all occupants are away from the sliding door. If someone's neck, head or hand gets caught in a closing sliding door, it could result in a serious injury. When anyone closes the power sliding door, make sure he/she operates the sliding door safely. CAUTION Power sliding door could injure people if they are caught in the door path. When using the power sliding door, observe the following: NOTICE Objects caught in the path of the sliding door may be damaged. Make sure there is nothing in the doorway before closing the sliding door. JAM PROTECTION FUNCTION If anything with sufficient resistance obstructs the power sliding door while it is closing or opening, the sliding door will automatically reverse to the opposite direction. However, if the power sliding door is between the fully −closed and half − opened positions while it is opening, the door will stop at that position. Before operating the power sliding door, make sure there is nobody near the sliding door. Make sure the sliding door stops at the fully −opened position, and then allow the passengers to get on and off the vehicle. D Never try jamming any part of your body to make the jam protection function work intentionally.
