If the indicator light does not come on when you shift the transfer into "H4", drive straight ahead while accelerating or decelerating, or drive forward or backward in a short distance. You need not depress the clutch pedal. If you have trouble shifting in cold weather, reduce the vehicle speed or stop the vehicle and reshift. SHIFTING BETWEEN "H4" AND "L4" To shift from "H4" to "L4", stop the vehicle or reduce the vehicle speed to less than 8 km/h (5 mph). This can be done at any speed. CAUTION Never move the front drive control lever if wheels are slipping. Stop the slipping or spinning before shifting.
