'04 Rav4_U (L/O 0403) Ignition switch light To prevent the battery being discharged, the light will automatically turn off when the ignition switch is in the "LOCK" position and the door is left opened for 20 minutes or more. Windshield wipers and washer For easy access to the ignition switch, the ignition switch light comes on when any of the doors are opened. Vehicles with the power door lock system- To turn on the windshield wipers, move the lever to the desired setting. The key must be in the "ON" position. Lever position Position 1 Position 2 Position 3 Speed setting Intermittent Slow Fast D The light remains on for about 15 seconds after all the doors are closed. D When all the doors are locked, or when the ignition switch is turned to "ACC" or "ON" after all the doors are closed, the light fades out. For a single sweep of the windshield, push the lever up and release it.
