04 09.01 SRS driver airbag and passenger airbag D The light does not come on when the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position or remains on for more than 6 seconds or flashes. D The light comes on or flashes while driving. D If any seat belt does not retract or cannot be pulled out due to a malfunction or activation of the relevant seat belt pretensioner. SB13045a SB13092a D The seat belt pretensioner assembly or surrounding area has been damaged. In the following cases, contact your Toyota dealer as soon as possible: The SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) airbags are designed to provide further protection for the driver and passenger in addition to the primary safety protection provided by the seat belts. In response to a severe frontal impact, the SRS airbags work together with the seat belts to help reduce injury by inflating. The SRS airbags help reduce injuries mainly to the driver's or passenger's head or chest caused by hitting the vehicle interior. When the passenger airbag manual on−off switch is in the "ON" position, the passenger airbag is activated if there is no passenger in the seat. Always wear your seat belt properly. 2005 MR2 from Aug.
