05 SIENNA_U (L/O 0409) -Conventional (fixed speed) cruise control mode If "E2" appears on the display, the system cannot easily measure the vehicle−to− vehicle distance because of the following conditions: If "E3" appears on the display, a system malfunction has been detected. If this code appears, stop your vehicle in a safe place, turn the ignition off, and then restart it to reset the system. If the setting still cannot be made or the same code appears again, the system might have malfunctioned. Although there is no problem to continue driving, please contact your Toyota dealer. This mode allows you to cruise at a desired speed over about 45 km/h (28 mph) with your foot off the accelerator pedal. Your cruising speed can be maintained up or down grades within the limits of engine performance, although a slight speed change may occur when driving up or down the grades. On steeper hills, a greater speed change will occur so it is better to drive without the cruise control. D The wipers are operating at high or low speeds D Direct sunlight from the front D It is difficult to make a measurement because of bad weather (such as rainy, foggy, or snowy weather) In the following cases, dynamic laser cruise control switches to the ready mode: CAUTION D The wipers are stopped or switched to intermittent operation. are D In the conventional (fixed speed) cruise control mode, the approach warning does not activate and no alarm will sound even if you are too close to the vehicle ahead, as neither the presence of the vehicle ahead nor the vehicle−to−vehicle distance is detected. Pay special attention to the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead. Always confirm the setting in the display. D No direct sunlight from the front In the above conditions, push the lever up in the "+ RES" direction and release it. Dynamic laser cruise control will be restored. If the setting operation cannot be performed or if the warning code still appears even after the weather clears, the system might have malfunctioned.
