'07Camry hybrid_U (L/O 0610) -Luggage security system NOTICE Implement the above steps to maximize security of the luggage in the trunk whenever the vehicle is unattended. -Internal trunk release strap This system helps protect things locked in the trunk by safeguarding the trunk lid lock release lever from unwanted access. Close the trunk lid. Insert the mechanical key and turn it counterclockwise to deactivate the trunk lid lock release lever. After the operation, try pulling up on the trunk lid lock release lever to make sure it is locked. If a person is locked in the trunk, he/she can pull up the phosphorescent strap on the inside of trunk lid to open the trunk lid. The phosphorescent (glow−in−the−dark) strap will continue to glow for a time after the trunk lid is closed.
