06 09.29 Passenger airbag off switch (regular cab models with separate seats and access cab models only) NOTICE Do not disconnect the battery cables before contacting your Toyota dealer. Operate off switch as follows: Insert key into the keyhole. To turn the front passenger airbag on-Turn the key clockwise to the "AUTO" position. At this time, the indicator light condition varies depending on the occupant in the front passenger seat. (For details, see "Front passenger occupant classification system" on page 84 in this Section.) To turn the front passenger airbag off-Turn the key counterclockwise to the "OFF" position and remove it. At this time, the "OFF" indicator light comes on. If the key is removed at any other position than "OFF", the switch will automatically return to the "AUTO" position. LS13141a Indicator light This off switch is designed to disable the front passenger airbag in order to allow usage, if necessary, of a member of a passenger risk group identified in TABLE 1 is occupying the front passenger seating position.
