07 04.26 -Raising your vehicle To raise the vehicle, insert the jack handle end with the extension into the jack (it is a loose fit) and turn it clockwise with the handle. As the jack touches the vehicle and begins to lift, double −check that it is properly positioned. CAUTION Front of vehicle 5. After making sure that no one is in the vehicle, as the jack touches the vehicle and begins to lift, double −check that it is properly positioned. Rear side only- When positioning the jack under the rear axle housing, make sure the groove on the top of the jack fits with the rear axle housing. 6. After making sure that no one is in the vehicle, raise it high enough so that the temporary spare tire can be installed. Remember you will need more ground clearance when putting on the temporary spare tire than when removing the flat tire. Never get under the vehicle when the vehicle is supported by the jack alone.
