Gate A20 Option This item defines how the system handles legacy software that was written for an earlier generation of processors. Set this item for the default value. Security Option If you have installed password protection, this item defines if the password is required at system start up, or if it is only required when a user tries to enter the Setup Utility. APIC Mode This item allows you to enable or disable the APIC (Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller) mode. APIC provides symmetric multi-processing (SMP) for systems. MPS Version Control For OS This item specifies which version of MPS (Multi-Processor Specification) this main board will use. Set this item for its default setting.
