lA
inch
of
insulation
from
each
end
of
both

the
right
speaker
wires.
2.
Place

on
the
left
side
of
your
room.
3.
Locate
the
terminals
on
the
rear
of
the
speaker
(see
FIGURE
1).
4.
Connect
one
conductor
of
the
left
speaker
wire
to
the
red
(positive)
terminal
on
the
speaker.
In
the
same
manner,
connect
the
other
conductor
to
the
black
(negative)
terminal
on
the
speaker.
5.
Locate
the
left
speaker
terminals
on
the
rear

your
amplifier
or
receiver.
They
are
usually
marked
"Speaker
Left"
or
"Spkr
L."

Phasing
Test
To
make
sure
that
your
speakers
are
connected
to
your
receiver
in
phase
(positive
to
positive,
negative
to
negative),
perform
this
simple
test:
1.
Set
your
sound
system
for
MONO
(monophonic)
repro-
duction.
Be
sure
the
balance
control
is
centered
or
set
to
normal.
2.
Temporarily
place
the
loudspeakers
so
that
they
are
facing
each
other
closely.
3.
Play
music
containing
deep
bass
notes
through
the
system.
If
the
speakers
are
phased
correctly,
the
sound
will
appear
to
come
from
a
point
between
the
speakers
with
full,
natural
bass
response.
4.
If
the
music
seems
to
be
lacking
in
deep
bass,
reverse
the
+
and
connections
on
one
speaker
and
repeat
the test.
Use
the
connection
which
produces
the
most
powerful
bass.
