. C Oven Light: The oven lights are located behind the oven rack supports. The lights turn on when you push the Light Switch K on the control panel. The bulbs are 120 Vac, 50 Watt. Setting Up the Range Assembling the Cooktop The burner rings spread the flame evenly around the burner cap. All burner parts must be properly seated for proper burner lighting and operation. To assemble the burners: 1. Remove the burner rings, burner caps and grates from their shipping packages. 2. - Dacor HGPR30 | User Manual - 30" Pro Gas Range - Page 8
completely (see below). 2. Align the left and right safety clips on the back of the guides with the oven-rack supports as shown. 3. Insert the rack in the oven, sliding its supports between the rear safety clips as shown. Operating the Range Burning-in the Oven When the oven comes from the factory, residue for certain materials used in the manufacturing process are left on the parts of the oven. These residues should be "burned off" before the oven is used for the first time. To burn off the residues in the oven: 1. - Dacor HGPR30 | User Manual - 30" Pro Gas Range - Page 10
each use. (See Pg. 17 for instructions.) Grease trap toward back OFF HIGH LOW each grate finger, where flame height is reduced by Dacor's Smart Flame feature. Operating the Range Broiling 1. Adjust the rack position based on the food thickness. Dacor recommends rack levels 4 or 5. 2. with long sides running across the oven. Roasting Tips • Dacor's optional roasting pan works particularly well and two of them will fit side by side in your oven. • For roasting, Dacor's optional "V" shaped rack and broil/roast pan works best to allow air circulation - Dacor HGPR30 | User Manual - 30" Pro Gas Range - Page 14
Operating the Range High-Altitude Cooking Due to the lower atmospheric pressure at higher altitudes, foods tend to take longer to cook. Therefore, recipe adjustments should be made in some cases. surfaces and accessories, use only the types of cleaning solutions specified in this manual. • To avoid electric shock or burns, turn off the burners and oven such as steel wool or scouring pads on any part of the range unless instructed to do so. Cleaning NOTE: Your oven's self-clean feature eliminates the need for manual scrubbing of interior surfaces. The steps on the following pages are burners and igniters.
