Stainless

Coffee
Urn
by
De'Longhi.
It
is
made
of
durable
stainless
steel
with
a
mirror
polish
finish
for
long
lasting
service.
Its
design
and
look
will
be
perfect
for
your
restaurant,
hotel,
hospital
or
house.
It
makes
hot,
rich
-tasting
coffee
and
automatically
keeps
it
hot
and
fresh.
To
ensure
proper
operation,
please
read
these
instructions
and
keep
in
a
safe
place
for
future
reference.
When
using
for
the
first
time,
wash
all
parts
and
the
inside
of
the
coffee
urn
thoroughly
with
hot,
sudsy
water.
Rinse
thoroughly.
Wipe
outside
surfaces
with
a
damp
cloth
and
dry
with
a
towel.
Never
immerse
base
cover
of
coffee
urn
in
the
water.
Your
coffee
urn
is
now
ready
for
operation.
Enjoy
using
it!
CAUTION
An
extension
cord
may
be
used
if
you
are
careful
in
its
use.
The
electrical
rating
of
the
extension
cord
should
be
at
least
as
great
as
the
electrical
rating
of
the
appliance.
When
using
an
extension
cord
the
power
cord
must
be
arranged
so
that
it
will
not
drape
over
the
counter
top
or
table
where
it
can
be
pulled
on
by
children
or
tripped
over
accidentally.
The
coffee
urn
rating
is

Remove
the
cover.
Take
out
basket,
spreader
and
tube
assembly.
Fill
with
COLD,
fresh
tap
water
to
the
marking
(
see
inside
the
body
for
level
indicator)
for
number
of
cups
desired.
Note:
The
De'Longhi
Deluxe
Stainless
Steel
Coffee
Urn
makes
20-60
cups.
Make
at
least
the
minimum
number
of
cups
to
assure
the
best
flavor
Note:
the
maximum
capacity
of
the
coffee
urn
is
in
the
middle
of
the
spring
tube
assembly.
DO
NOT
OVERFILL
THE
COFFEE
URN.
2.
Wet
the
basket
(this
helps
to
keep
small
particles
of
coffee
from
sifting
through).
Add
coffee
to
basket
using
standard
tablespoon
or
measuring
cup.
We
recommend
percolator
grind
coffee
for
best
results.
The
amount
of
coffee
can
be
adjusted
to
suit
personal
tastes
from
the
following
chart
for
different
brew
strengths.

To
reheat
the
coffee,
remove
the
tube
with
the
basket
and
spreader,
replace
the
cover
and
plug
the
unit
in
for
20to
60
minutes
depending
on
amount
of
coffee
left.
Do
not
reheat
if
less
than
20
cups
are
left
in
the
coffee
urn.
To
reduce
sediment
that
may
occur
on
the
bottom
during
percolating,
you
can
use
disk
coffee
filters
in
the
basket.
These
can
be
purchased
at
supermarkets
or
grocery
stores.
CARE
AND
CLEANING
1.
After
each
use
and
before
washing,
unplug
power
cord
from
wall
outlet
first,
then
allow
the
unit
to
cool
down.

Remove
cover
and
all
internal
parts
carefully
-
parts,
grounds
and
remaining
coffee
may
still
be
hot.

Wash
the
inside
of
the
Coffee
Urn
and
the
parts
with
water
and
detergent.
Rinse
thoroughly
and
dry.
DO
NOT
IMMERSE
BASE
OF
COFFEE
URN
IN
WATER.
Tube
(with
spring),basket,
and
cover
with
glass
knob
may
be
washed
in
the
dishwasher.
When
washing
the
tube,
make
sure
that
WASHER
on
the
bottom
remains
loose.
If
coffee
grounds
are
caught
in
this
place,
hold
it
under
running
water
or
use
a
wooden
pick
to
remove.

Wipe
outside
with
damp
cloth
and
dry
with
a
towel.
Store
the
Coffee
Urn
with
the
cover
off.

After
repeated
use,
there
may
be
some
accumulation
of
oils
and
coffee
stains
inside
the
Coffee
Urn

may
cause
a
bitter
taste.
Periodically,
use
a
coffee
stain
remover
or
special
cleanser
(
such

"Dip
-it")
and
follow
package
directions.
Rinse
well
atter
cleaning.

not
use
abrasive
cleansers
or
pads
on
the
outside
as
scratching

occur.
