• What does the alarm sound mean?

An alarm can mean your door is open, a power

outage or HIGH TEMP has been detected. In the event

of a HIGH TEMP, acknowledge the alarm, make sure

your freezer is level, and the door closes with a proper

seal. Leave the freezer door closed so the freezer can decrease and stabilize to the set temperature.

• Why does my freezer seem to run continuously?

Your freezer is equipped with an energy-efficient variable speed compressor that saves energy by

running more frequently.

• Is it normal to hear a popping or cracking sound when the compressor runs?

Yes. These sounds can be caused by the circulation of the refrigerant that’s used to cool the freezer and

the internal components as they expand and contract with temperature changes.

Immediately wiping up any spills

and cleaning your freezer at least

twice per year.

Before you begin

• Set up your freezer

Make sure it is located on a floor that is level and strong enough

to support it when fully loaded with food. See the INSTALLATION

section in your Use & Care Manual.

• Before starting your freezer

Clean the inside of your appliance before using it. See the CARE

AND CLEANING section in your Use & Care Manual. To ensure

safe food storage, allow the appliance to operate with the door

closed for at least 8 hours before loading it with food.

• Keeping your freezer clean

prevents odor build up and

maintains appearance.

• Clean the stainless steel door

and handle with non-abrasive

soapy water and a dishcloth.
