Status indicators inform you when a drive is being used or when a button has been pressed that affects how the keyboard is used. Drives and Accessories Using the CD or DVD drive You can use your notebook to enjoy a wide variety of multimedia features. Identifying drive types Your Gateway notebook may contain one of the following drive types. You do not need to restart your notebook when changing most cards because your notebook supports hot-swapping. Hot-swapping means that you can insert a card while your notebook is running. Managing Power Monitoring the battery charge Your new Gateway notebook is designed to provide an exceptional balance of performance and portability.
