Types of licensing There are two types of licensing: • Full to the web address specified on the certificate and following the instructions on the web. License to Use key. 1. Obtain the unique License to Use key, as instructed on the License Entitlement Certificate. This is normally from the HP Licensing website Licensing website. Device is a generic Ultrium device which is clearly identifiable as virtual. the library should display six or eight characters. The HP StoreOnce Backup system generates barcodes automatically for cartridges. If you enter a barcode manually, you must always enter 8 characters. Table 11 Cartridge tab parameters Field Location: Description The Location column identifies each element of the library that is available to hold a cartridge. There are three types of element: • Mail slot: which is a dedicated slot that is used to hold a cartridge that is ready for exporting to - HP D2D4009fc | HP StoreOnce B6200 Backup System User Guide (BB877-90910, Novembe - Page 34
an empty cartridge slot, without having to run an inventory. This saves some processing time. You may need to restart your backup application services to see the new cartridges. To delete a cartridge (administrators only) To delete an individual cartridges, click on the Delete button. Deleting a user 1. To delete a user you must first disconnect the mapped share. 2. On the StoreOnce-NAS-Shares page display the Permissions tab for the Share and edit it to be No Access. 3. Navigate to the StoreOnce-NAS-CIFS Server tab. 4. Click OK. The user no longer exists. Configuring CIFS Server with AD and CIFS Share with AD domain users To grant external users or groups (AD domain users) access to NAS shares: 1. Set the Authentication mode to AD on the NAS CIFS server tab. See (page 41). 2. OK. You have now created a group that can be added on the CIFS server tab to provide NAS server permissions or added using the User Management tool to provide StoreOnce device permissions. 3. All stores created on that service set have the same configuration settings. IMPORTANT: You must first enable Client Access Permission Checking on this page, if you wish to assign permissions when you subsequently configure clients and stores. (If you do not set permissions, all clients will be able to access all stores.) Manage Client Permissions If your backup application supports this, you can remotely manage which Client IDs exist in the most StoreOnce functions, so that you can ensure that all StoreOnce services run efficiently and do not compete for resources.
