1 HP NetServer LH 6000/6000r Processor Upgrade Introduction The HP NetServer LH 6000/6000r supports up to six processor modules and the accompanying voltage regulation modules (VRMs) on the system board assembly. HP NetServer LH 6000/6000r Processor Upgrade Upgrade Overview To upgrade a processor, or processors in the HP NetServer LH6000/6000r, you will follow these basic steps: l Shut down the NOS and the HP NetServer processor upgrade kits with the same HP product number. Restart the NetServer with the HP NetServer Navigator CD-ROM provided with the processor upgrade kit inserted in the CD-ROM drive. 3 BIOS Update NOTE The NetServer should detect the new or additional processors automatically. If this is not the case you may have to reinstall the NOS to detect the new processors. 1.
