For other servers and storage units, rack mounting instructions have installed the UPS, Redundant Switch, and Power Distribution Units. 1 Preparation for Cabling the HP NetServer LXr8500 • Determine configurations for and mount the PDU (Power Distribution Unit or Units). Connect the LXr 8500 Data Cables to Peripheral Components • Plan where data connections are to be made. • Attach data cables to the server. Because of the high capacity fans installed in the HP NetServer LXr 8500, no external exhaust fan is needed with this unit. Because power and data cables are supplied only in one length, measures are necessary to manage the cables attached to the rear of the server.
