3 Backing up your information As you add new software and data files, you should back up your system on a regular basis to maintain a reasonably current backup. 1. Select Start > All Programs > Maintenance > Backup and Restore. 2. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up and create a backup. NOTE: Windows® includes the User Account Control feature to Windows settings.
